Rock Pine Residence

The Rock Pine Residence implements the ideas of outdoor living fully with its programming and use of materials. Located in Coconut Grove, Florida, entering the home you’re pulled into the site with a deep overhang perpendicular to a large, ivy-covered concrete that acts as a threshold. A reflecting pool acts as a boundary to this edge that directs to the entrance. The first level of the property has two volumes, the main residence and a guest cabana. Both are connected with a long span, alluding to the Mountain Lake Residence with its outdoor living. A planted roof over the guest suite abuts the primary suite terrace upstairs, while two more bedrooms and family room with terrace overlook the entrance.
